HELP ME TAKE THE CITY!
HEY FAMILY & FRIENDS
This page exists to share what I’m stepping into in 2026 and to invite those who feel led to partner with me monthly through prayer and support. Since giving my life to Jesus, my heart has grown increasingly burdened for those often considered “the least of these,” the lost, the unhoused, the marginalized, and children. For years, I felt a desire to support them and help people feel seen, heard, and valued, but I wasn’t sure where to begin.
In 2021, a few friends and I created a docuseries called Is the Gospel Really Good News? to showcase the beauty of the gospel in our own lives and in the lives of others. During that time, we spent a lot of time on the streets—talking with people at rallies, social events, and even on street corners. What stood out to me most was how deeply people needed hope. Before giving my life to Christ, I remember feeling that same hopelessness. I wanted to share the hope I had found, but I didn’t yet know the most impactful or effective way to do that within my community. Partnering with CityTakers is giving me the opportunity to do just that.
LIFE AS AN URBAN MISSIONARY
Through this internship, each day is an opportunity to become more like Christ in the way I live, serve, and love others. CityTakers is a ministry committed to loving, drawing, and building the city of Atlanta. Each month, they host “Bless the Block,” where free groceries are given to people in the neighborhood, giving me the chance to truly “love my neighbor” and meet people at the point of their need.
CityTakers also partners with an afterschool program in an Atlanta neighborhood. Through this partnership, I’m able to spend time with children in the community and build relationships beyond a single interaction. Working with CityTakers has also given me the opportunity to faithfully serve the unhoused through monthly events where we share meals and sit with men and women living on the streets of Atlanta. The stories I’ve heard at Safehouse both warm and break my heart. Being able to serve and love people there is something I didn’t even realize how much I needed.
CityTakers is committed to raising up urban missionaries who impact their cities through presence, consistency, and love. A year-long commitment allows me to build real relationships, walk with people over time, and speak into their lives in ways that aren’t possible through one-time help.

I’m asking if you would consider supporting me in this new journey.
I’m responsible for raising my monthly support throughout this year-long internship. My goal is to be able to fully commit my time, presence, and energy to the work God has placed in front of me during my (1) year commitment.
I’m inviting you to partner with me through monthly financial support. This consistency makes it possible for me to stay rooted, present, and committed to the relationships I’ll be building throughout the year. Any amount matters, and I’m deeply grateful for any support given freely and without pressure. Whether you’re able to give monthly, one time, or simply commit to praying for me, I’m thankful for your willingness to walk alongside me in this season.
You can give by clicking below or you can also send a check written to City Takers with Alyssa in the memo line.
Ways that you can partner with me in prayer.
• That I would get everything the Lord has for me this year — learning opportunities, growth, and leadership experiences.
• That I would have the courage to do the hard work of growing, even when it’s uncomfortable.
• That I would love deeply as a way of showing Jesus’ love, even when it feels risky.
• That I would bring my full, authentic self to this work, trusting that leaning into who I am will create greater impact than hiding or holding back.
