HELP ME TAKE THE CITY!
HEY FRIENDS
It’s Ivan Moreno, and I’ve made a life-changing decision.
For years, I felt stuck in a cycle, living the same routine, surrounded by familiar patterns, but not truly growing… just surviving. Fear and a lack of faith quietly ran the show. Yet deep down, I knew I was made for more. I knew God had a purpose for my life, but I wasn’t fully walking in it.
That changes now.
A big part of this shift began when two close friends of mine, both urban missionaries, invited me to join them for street outreach. That experience deeply inspired me. Being able to serve people face to face, pray with them, listen to their stories, and love them right where they were touched my heart in a real way. After that outreach, I knew this was something I wanted to be part of and continue doing with my life.
What started as one step of obedience has turned into a new direction for my life. This journey feels like an adventure with God. It comes with both excitement and nervousness as I step into the unknown, trust Him fully, and allow Him to lead me somewhere I have never been before.
LIFE AS AN URBAN MISSIONARY
Because of that experience, I’ve joined City Takers’ 12 Month Urban Missionary Discipleship Journey, and I believe this step will mark a turning point in my life.
This isn’t just a program, it’s a full surrender to God’s plan. Over the next year, I’ll be serving in some of the toughest communities, loving people who are often overlooked, and growing into the man and leader God has called me to be.
I’ve never done anything like this before. But I know God is in it. He’s calling me to trust Him and move forward in faith, and I’m choosing to say yes.
